Welcome for Tyrone engineering jobs boost - McElduff Sinn Féin MLA Barry McElduff has welcomed the announcement by engineering firm Terex of the creation of 260 jobs in County Tyrone. The West Tyrone MLA said: “This is welcome news and goes some considerable way towards consolidating County Tyrone as the Silicon Valley of engineering both nationally and internationally. “Terex and other engineering companies located in County Tyrone deserve every support and assistance from relevant government departments including DETI and DEL to further grow their business. “Just last week I had written to the Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster for her assessment of the contribution to the local economy made by engineering companies such as Terex and how her department can help develop them further. “Tyrone is leading the way when it comes to this type of production and is at the cutting edge internationally of engineering development and innovation. Long may it continue.”
