Well I had a pretty crappy weekend. I decided to go to Dallas Comic Con for the weekend to surprise a few friends (Julia, Kevin, Thien, Lance, Trung, and a few others) after telling them I wasnt going to attend DCC. I booked a last minute bus ticket and was really excited to see my friends. After arriving in Dallas around 12am my friend Nessa (thanks for everything btw) pick me up from the station and took me to Walmart to buy a charger for my phone (I was in a rush packing I forgot it at home). So around 1:05 I went to Walmart in Hurst, Tx and picked up a charger. As I proceeded to go check out the only register that was open was the self check out. Me being careless I placed my iPhone 5s by the scanner to check myself out and pay for my item. After paying I left the store with not realizing until I was a couple blocks down from the Walmart I did not have my phone on my person. We immediately turned back around to go retrieve the phone just to be disappointed that I was missing. Ive asked the employees has anyone turned a phone but no dice. I asked them if they could check their surveillance cameras to see if they can pinpoint who might of picked up but since it was 1:30 in the morning their Loss Prevention were close and I would have to check tomorrow. After they told me that I remember I had my iPad in my bad and I could try and use the find my iPhone app to locate it. When I logged in and opened up the app the phone was offline but when you call it it was still on for about 20 mins then it was turned off shortly after. At this point I gave up and hardly got any sleep. I tried that app again that morning and it was located in North Richland Hills, Tx around 7:03 AM but was offline. I decided to scope the area in a apartment complex and believed the last place it was discovered was in one of two apartment building. I called the police but they gave me the run around saying that I needed to call Hurst police department since it was stolen in Hurst but when I call Hurst the told me to call North Richland Hills Police Department for them to send a office to my location. So after nearly a hour and a half of calling multiple departments a officer finally arrived and question the apt. Building where the app tracked the phone last. Once again I had no luck and had to call hurst to file a police report. So for the past 72 hours I have been disconnected from all social networks and really down in the dumps. Part 2 coming soon...
