Well Ladies. It makes me very sad to let this absolute beauty go, but I have to take a reality check, and admit to myself that I am highly unlikely to ever slim into it, So! ... Here goes! ... This is a gorgeous 1950s cocktail dress with matching edge to edge bolero style jacket. In a beautiful sage green fabric with a lovely sheen, and fabulous silver and gold atomic pattern. The dress is cut in the most flattering way with a fitted, belted, midriff section which tapers to a V in the front, making the fullness of the skirt far more flattering. It is a wonderful shape, and the dress still has its original self-fabric belt with shaped buckle, and its original metal zipper. The jacket has a classic 50s cut, with collar and tapered, pointed, turned up cuffs. The original labels had been removed when I bought the dress, with only the stubs of the 2 paper labels, and 1 fabric label remaining. The only slight flaw that I can see is that someone appears to have made alterations to the armholes of the dress (see pictures) possibly to make them slightly larger. This is not obvious in any way, and cannot be seen when the dress is being worn. Measured flat across one side only (so roughly double it ) the dress measures 15.5in at the waist (where the belt sits) and 18 in from pit to pit. The skirt is full so hip measurement free. (Dress is pictures with a net petticoat. Not included). Asking £95 + P&P
