Well, after a 4 hour delay in departing OHare, the rest of my trip to Abu Dhabi was quite uneventful. Despite sitting in the back of the plane, I was quite comfortable during the 12 hour flight and caught a couple of hours sleep here and there. I was still tired when I landed, which was my plan, so by the time I got to my hotel, I was ready for bed at 1:30 AM. Had an early start to my day, so I was up at 6 AM to begin orientation with my new company and made a few stops throughout Abu Dhabi to finalize my residency requirements. Made it until about 8:30 PM before crashing yet again, but this should set my internal clock on the right track and jet-lag should not be an issue going forward. So far, so good. More orientation throughout the week and meeting with my real estate agent to begin apartment hunting in the city. Thanks for all of the thoughts and well wishes and Ill be sure to update often.
