Well, at BBC of Hazlehurst, we just keep on moving forward. I don’t know another way to explain it. God continues to bless our efforts as we serve Him faithfully. The weekend began with my first visit Saturday morning. A precious young mother bowed her head and gave her heart to Jesus. It was such a precious experience for me and especially for her. We did not see any more souls come to Christ the rest of the day, but the seed was spread all around. With just a little push by our teachers, Father’s Day proved to be a wonderful experience for us. We had 89 in SS and 101 in the AM service. Did not have anyone saved Sunday morning, but the message did not fall on deaf ears. “Fathers of Faith” was the title of the message. Well, about an hour before the evening service, a father brought two of his children to church and asked me to talk with them about salvation. They had been raising their hands for prayer in the children’s and teen ministry. What a thrill it was to lead them to the Lord. One was a teen-age boy; the other, his sister, a 6th grader. (Can I saw GLORY, HALLELAUGH right now?) I guess I just did. As you can see, God is still working his wonderful grace in the hearts of souls. My prayer is he will continue to keep me faithful to the task, not to get weary in well doing, and let Him give the increase. Sometime the task is greater than we can handle. I could use some more dedicated and committed workers. I believe if we had some, we could see more growth, especially among our youth. Pray with us about “Labors for the harvest.” Let me say something about teen week. Our teens came back excited; I was overjoyed with their accomplishments. Of the five major trophies, our teens brought home three of them – servant’s heart award, Christian leadership award, and Bible quizzing award. I guess you won’t have weeks like this every week, but why not? If we could get enough people working, it could happen continually. Amen!
