Well, here is what is on my mind today. Anyone, co workers or medical field, or a patient. I am scheduled for a CT Scan this week. My authorization has been approved. I received a phone call yesterday from the hospitals imaging office for information regarding the service. This woman said, bring your payment of $500.00 for the procedure. Say what? Have I been retired that long? I told her absolutely Not. I will not be bringing any money with me. She said, you have to pay something for the service to be provided like your deductible or a co payment. What? I advised her that I will wait to see what my insurance pays before any monies is exchanged. She then hung up. I should go back to work. Who is training these people. You see, several years ago my father fell for this, by the same provider and paid for his service before it was even submitted to his insurance. A scarred senior citizen thinking if he didnt pay, he wouldnt get the service. When I called to complain, they refunded his money, but waited six weeks for it. Lord have mercy. dont let this happen to you. xoxox
