Well. it happened again. For the second time in a row. Another case of vote flipping. Last nights meeting has probably caused us to lose a much-needed, zoning-approved business that dispenses medicine. Sending this back to the Planning and Zoning commission for reconsideration sends a few messages not only to our taxpayers but to the regional business community. The main message? We are not always business friendly. This rejection tells taxpayers that the Planning & Zoning commission did something wrong in the conducting of their hearing. So, what should the punishment for that be, if any? Thats a great question for the five councilmembers who kicked this Elgin-based business in the teeth. April, 2015.
