Well its official the snakes are out and about so watch out! Reminds me of a story about this time of year a few years back, was doing my usual walk along the river and noticed some boys up in a tree building a tree house, thought to myself how great it was to see.... On my way back I see one boy out of the tree and as I walk towards him I see something move in the leaves... a snake between him and I and the tree with the other boys... So, I jump into my best Steve Irwin pose, arms out and in an over excited voice, OK, everybody stay calm, there is a snake here, you on the ground, stay back, and you boys stay in the tree!, as I slowly circle the snake, knees bent arms out... (who do I think I am!!!), I then notice the snake looks sluggish, I think she has just woken up boys! (like I know!??), I then notice the snake seems to be moving funny, like it is sliding to the side not straight on and in jerky movements... so I say, I thinks something is wrong with it!!, as I am still circling it.... Well, the little bastards (excuse me) could contain themselves no longer, they breakdown in excited laughter.... yes, it was a plastic snake, the boys in the tree had fishing line tied around its neck and were pulling it towards them... and I sure did make it worth there while by putting on a show.... the laughed and laughed and laughed.... I am such an easy target...sigh..
