Well my son took me to the Blue Goose.For McKinney its pretty good.They make their own tortillas right there and the hot sauce is home made but no kick to it.Not much of a flavor either but Im not a big hot sauce fan so that didnt cloud my judgement.The bacon wrapped shrimp is excellent.The rice was pretty good but get the refried beans if you have a choice,The Charro beans arent that great.The Goose Eggsnwere very good and HOT.had tp park almost all the way to IHOP because they were so busy.Leevi got the combo fajitas.They come with grilled onion but you have to pay extra for grilled bell peppers.I dont know about anyone else but its not Fajitas without both so a little taken back by that.The steak and chicken was tender and had a very good flavor.All in all I dont think El Chicos has anything to worry about and if you have ever been to Chuys in Plano then you will be very disappointed.Would I go back....probably because the people were friendly and as I said for McKinney it was a step above.But go with an open mind and no expectations.You read so much about them being Great but go in like you have never heard of them and decide for yourself.I did enjoy the time with my son and as I stated the bacon wrapped shrimp was very good.The price range was equal to most of the places in McKinney.Just thought I would express my opinion since Ive read several others.
