Well, on the first full day of his freshman year at Cal Poly, my son was diagnosed with a wrist/arm fracture that is of a type that notoriously does not heal well. The health center did an excellent job of seeing him and diagnosing, but they said he needs to see an orthopedist for treatment. And of course our insurance is Kaiser. I know from lurking on this page that there is no Kaiser health care facility in or near SLO. We have e-mailed Kaiser asking for permission to go out of our insurance area with their coverage blessings so he can see a local specialist. Today has been managing it from a distance, which is somewhat stressful. No word back from his doctors office. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone for making the start of this year so much easier by sharing your words of wisdom and encouragement.
