Well we are taking a collective deep breathe right now...for this one moment in time we do not have one life in boarding waiting for a temporary place to rest their heads. Tonight we are sleeping a little deeper. Tonight we may close both eyes and rest for just a minute knowing that all are tucked in and where they need to be. This week brought foster homes for Penelope, Kahn, Niaomi and adoption for Willie. Smitty was transferred to a professional trainer to provide the one-on-one guidance he desired and deserved to try and shed all those boarding layers. We watched several others connect with forever homes but find our hearts are lightest when we dont have any misplaced souls. Boarding takes a heavy toll on each life as their is nothing lonelier than spending nearly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without companionship, love, activity and stimuli. We see it in their eyes and feel their pain to our core when we have to leave them behind. So tonight is glorious. Tonight is a pure breathe of fresh air full of energizing celebration that a few precious lives are feeling the love tonight. Thank you to each one that opened themselves to this beautiful opportunity to bring a heart home. We celebrate you and all the quiet, dark, empty kennel runs that are not housing Wagging Hearts lives tonight. Thank you to all who were a part of making each one find a place. Sweet dreams of contentment to all our hearts.
