Went out late this afternoon to check out a few areas along the lower Colorado River, with Mexico a stones throw away, where birds (and Border Patrol and local cops) like to hang out. Saw all sorts of both! But, it was mostly overcast and we were losing light fast. Not only were the birds mostly skittish, but we try very hard not to disturb them. All that said (excuses laid out), it was a little dark and most subjects were kinda far away for my 400mm lens. So, I took what might have been a nice shot in better light and decided to try out my Nik Software for the first time - and heres the result.
