Went to a school board meeting Monday. I enjoyed the first part until it got to executive session. Again they ask everyone to leave except me turned off the paper recorder shut the doors and gave me 15 min. I asked them to give m another chance. I admitted that I made mistakes and have learned from them. That other people had made mistakes too. I had no hand book, coaching handbook, or support from my AD or other administration when I needed it. I did the best I could to turn a struggling program around. I asked the school board if they had any questions. There was one, about the paper admin made me sign the week of the SESD tourney. I said I didnt even know what I signed when I signed it because I didnt want to start who they wanted me to start. This paper was the reason I got suspended with the girls quitting & parent letters. I answered the question. They asked me to leave. For about 40 min we waited uncomfortably outside door. Finally we heard a lot of laughing figured they were done and good news. Sure enough they opened doors let us in. They immediately voted to not renew my contract for the girls basketball and they all voted to not to renew. I was out of there. Sarah chased me down and handed me a pre typed paper I had to sign and date about my termination. I am very sad about this because I loved my job, loved the girls, loved my old school GHS. 😘
