Went to a writers roundtable at Oxford Lit Fest that included Gill Hornby. Did not realise until at Robert Harris talk later the connection. At signing he confirmed what somebody at 2nd talk told me 1) they are married 2) she is sister of more famous Nick, a favourite of mine. After talk included much about collaboration with Roman Polanski, I got to relate my early introduction to him as a child in basement of piano teachers house while sis had her lesson and I was reading a Helter Skelter. .. Told him about admiration for his brother in laws work, and threw in pity about Arsenal in reference to Fever Pitch, only to be told they had been thrashed 6-0 by Chelsea. At least Liverpool got 6 too!
