Went to pick up a pizza at Little Ceasers tonight and there was a man at the counter ahead of me trying to use his debit card to buy 2 pizzas. I heard him telling the cashier that it was to be his dinner, breakfast and lunch for the next few days, as hes a retired vet (military)and cabinet maker. He swiped his card and she told him it was declined. He tried it again.....declined. I just used it this morning. It told me I had $76 on it and I only used $10 for gas! He tried another card......declined. He apologized to the cashier and to me and walked away, embarrassed. I asked the cashier what his total was and then I called him back. I said Sir? Id like to buy your pizzas for you. Consider it a random act of kindness. He said, with tears in his eyes Are you kidding me? Oh, my. I cant believe this! What can I do for you? I told him not to worry about me, but to remember to pay it forward the next time he had the opportunity. He hugged me..........and I knew I had done something REALLY good for someone that deserved it. Random acts of kindness are AWESOME!
