Were really sorry to anyone who was unable to have a picnic here throughtout the May Day weekend. At Coughton we are one of a few National Trust properties lucky enough to have the donor family still living in residence. Not only do the Throckmortons live here, they also manage the gardens. They are kind enough to let our visitors wander around in and enjoy their gardens, but prefer not to host picnics. There is a picnic area adjacent to the carpark and we are hoping to make this a more family friendly area in the future by purchasing some new picnic tables and making the area more pleasant. We will pass on all feedback to the Throckmortons. We really hope everybody has a lovely visit over the weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone later on for the last duck race!
