West Fork Update from Forest Service: Closures/evacuations: Hwy 149 from SF to mile 22 towards Creede was closed this morning. The best intel I have is that evacuations include South Fork west of the intersection of Hwy 160 and 149, and along 149 to Mile 22. The fire is now about 30,000 ac. It ran down and across Hope Cr., Kitty Cr. Lake Fork Cr. to Metroz Lake and ran down Goose Cr. at least 4 miles. Papoose Fire Update: Closures/evacuations: FSR 520 closed from junction with Hwy 149 to the Bear Cr. Rd (FSR 506). Area closure includes all the area south of FSR 520. Evacuations along the 520 Rd throughout this section. Fire is located mostly in the Little Squaw Cr. drainage. Approx. 1600 ac. More info as it comes available.
