Weve been having a terrible time with rats. Horrible rats that have learnt that chicks and eggs are an easy food source and have been eating our chicks alive and eating all the fresh and incubating eggs that the barn chickens lay. Yesterday we went to collect these guys from CLAW/FORA! This is a family of 3, mum and 2 sons, who were ferals, already sterilised before we collected them. Their territory will be our barn and stables. They are understandably terrified of people and the sounds of civilisation, but theyll soon settle in and hopefully be hunters extraordinaire! Thanks to CLAW and FORA for allowing us to offer these cats a working home. Theyll be treated with respect and be able to live as fed and cared-for ferals in their own micro colony.
