What a chaotic morning at our house. We are at the hospital now and the last group of Drs have just left. Good news. Dan is sitting up and was eating breakfast. During the night they stopped the blood pressure meds and he is able to maintain a normal blood pressure without them. This is a big step toward improving. Urine output is good. Still has blood infection being treated with iv antibiotics. Still has drainage tube in left kidney. ICU Drs feel that they have him stabilized enough so that he can be transferred back to the regular floor and back to the care of the urologist. After we talk to the urologist we will know more about what their plan of action will be in dealing with the kidney and stone. Thanks to every one for your phone calls, fb posts.
