What a sad day for the DAP, Pakatan Rakyat and Malaysia. BN has won back Teluk Intan and Pakatan has lost a precious parliamentary seat it neednt have. But the DAP took a noble gamble and lost. It looks like Teluk Intan residents are not yet ready for a great idea whose time has come, i.e. voting against racial lines. It looks like some Chinese who voted for the DAP previously have now swung to BN. Because BN is represented by a Chinese candidate whereas the DAP fielded a Malay? Otherwise, why anyone would still vote for BN is difficult to understand. Especially after all its abuses and stupid actions. I hope Dyana Sofea Mohd Daud will not be too disheartened and that she will continue to grow and be successful in winning a seat in Parliament one day soon. I also hope the DAP will learn from this debacle. I had feared todays by-election result because I somehow felt the DAP would lose. Its unfortunate that my nightmare has come true.
