What a week so far - feel as if Im living through some pretty momentous times right now. Tomorrow when we decide then - waiting so long for this but am calm, seems that as you get older you (or at least I am) more able to control emotions over these things, if it happens fantastic - but what a lot of work well have in creating our new nation. It it does not, fine - we have fought hard and the only disappointment I think I will really feel is in the manner in which politicians have handled the whole thing. On Monday evening I was part of a meeting that I firmly believe will change things in my local Lossiemouth community for the better. The new Lossiemouth Community Development Trust was formed, this is one of the main reasons I became a community councillor - no point mouthing off about how you want to make a difference in your community, much better to actually do something about it. I really believe the new Trust will make a massive difference to Lossiemouth in so many ways. Today my belief in what Ive been trying to do with the insideMoray community news site was strengthened tremendously with donations coming in that will make my charity calendar project a reality https://indiegogo/projects/insidemoray-charity-2015-calendar-project/x/8622376 - over two-thirds of the funding needed has been achieved through crowd funding, my first ever foray into that method of fundraising. And this morning I confirmed my VIP tickets for the Moody Blues in June, quite probably the last time Ill see the band, we are all getting on a bit after all! This will be third time luck having failed to have a special day at the Scottish Cup final two years ago because of my own health, then failing to get to the USA earlier this year because of Lindas health (that was to include meeting the Moody Blues in Boston). Yes, quite a week :)
