What are your thoughts on the transgenderism? Is committing oneself to non-traditional gender designations (ie. man/woman) validating that there is something that it means to be a man or woman? I strong believe that gender is a social construct, that our (typically)binary identity ends at the biological level. In constructing alternate gender designations, it seems just as harmful(?) as committing to traditional gender roles, it is still perpetuating the gender game. On the other hand, for as long as gender is coded into society, is it okay to play the gender game in order to undermine it?
