What did JayZ do to deserve this? Only God knows what he did! I hope he didn’t cheat! We don’t know what he did! He must have hurt the Knowles! This is how we push men to become monsters. We have managed to strip them of every emotion- to feel pain, to cry, to react, to grieve. We blame men subtly even when they are victims. This is the same issues we battle in patriarchal societies, yet we employ them conveniently in situations when tables are turned. We have made men automatons. There is never a reason to hit a woman…even when a woman is spitting, hitting, clawing at you like an animal. We do not applaud the man’s impressive self-control, we applaud society for castrating his emotions. A man should feel nothing, do nothing. And if he were ever to respond, it should be mechanical and in tune with the woman’s issues. It doesn’t work that way, my people. These double standards will never work. Tell your women...your daughters to stop being ghetto. Being a thug comes with consequences. Everyone is entitled to defending him/herself. Tell your men...your sons to walk away. But dont teach him to be a foot mat just so society can crown him with the nicest robot in town. You will get angrier men. You will get vindictive men. Or at best end up with automatons.
