What does “being healthy” really mean? The definition states healthy is to be in good physical and mental condition. All too often we get hung up our diet and neglect our mental condition, which turns out to be the MOST important! Relationships, career, spiritual practice, and physical exercise are the primary foods in life. We must work on each of these elements to truly feel and become whole and healthy. I have struggled with my primary food, spirituality, since….well I have always struggled with this one. I did not grow up going to church and my family never devoted itself to a specific religion. I am ignorant to all religious teachings and honestly I am OK with that. In fact, I cannot see devoting myself and my energy to a defined religion. I would feel like an imposter. Only when I stopped trying to follow a specific spiritual practice, my true spiritual path became clear. When I stopped trying to “fit in” I found myself connected to the universe in a way I never imagined possible. I continue to grow spiritually; my journey is far from over. BUT instead of dreading the journey, I am looking forward to every twist and turn. What primary food(s) do you struggle with? How do you see yourself succeeding when you have found balance in your primary foods?
