What he enjoyed the most,.... ....was eating Fish curry and Rice – with his hands!…..read this….!!! Leena ji unwinds the fond memories of her husband and the Legendary Singer Kishore Kumar…!!! When he would be back from the recordings.....recollects Leena ji as she unwinds the fond memories about her husband and the Legendary Singer Kishore Kumar.....He would sit on the sofa and give a sigh of relief and ask for a cold towel and cup of hot tea.Once he returned, then he rarely went out.He loved spending the evenings with just the three of us.He was a total family man.I remember, when he suffered from his first mild heart attack on January 24 1981…After that,he had to cut down on his diet,as well as his work load.He had shed 10 kilos. He even stopped singing more than one song a day! But a well known foodie,as he was..just couldn’t stop himself much from the aroma of his favorite breakfast Puri-Bhaji and the restrictions put by the Doctors, made it more difficult for him.Whatever may be the fare for lunch or dinner…..but every morning...he would leave the house having his favourite Puri-Bhaji...I had many a times stopped him from eating this oily fare as that would affect his voice…to which he had philosophised and said See Leena,…God has gifted me this voice..If he is fed up with it..he will take it back...It is between him and me...Main dil se gaata hoon…asli awaaz to wahi se aati hai….sirf karvatein leti hui gale se nikalti hai…is sab ke beech yeh parhez aur yeh khaana kahan aata hai?. He was very fond of different delicacies too…but good home cooked food was always first on the list. What he enjoyed the most……was eating Fish curry and Rice – with his hands! He was a complete foodie.A very simple man with simple eating habits. He wasn’t fond of multi-course and fancy meals! His simplicity and sincerity was all that he poured in his songs. He sang out his heart and soul for each and every composition.Songs came alive with the richness of his virile and baritone voice. No wonder, today he is an Institution of music in himself, for many of the singers and his fans who follow him and will continue to do so for years and years…as Sun stays Sun….never ever to be replaced by anything and anyone…!!!
