What people seem to fail to realize, when you start a nutrition plan, you have to adjust your Macros accordingly. What are Macros? your protein, fats, and carb intakes. Depending on your fitness goals, their are different Macro ratios. So for example, when you drop carb intake, that means fats and proteins need to be adjusted accordingly. Same thing for if youre training calls for a nutrition plan with more carbs. Your fats and proteins should decrease. Failing to adjust your Macros according to your plan will cause stagnant results.
