What really puts off non bumis who are subjected to all forms of discrimination on a daily basis on all levels in this country is the fact that the Bumis themselves are not given a fair chance based on their individual merits and abilities. Instead, there is a process within the process, a system inside the system, that ensures that the ones who end up climbing the ladder and sitting at positions that absolutely warrants merit and ability are able in all else, except for carrying out the duties that comes assigned. And the Bumis who could have done so much are sidelined and their self potential and their possible contribution is left to waste, just like their non bumi countrymen. That is the only logical way to explain some of the nonsense that comes out of our elected leaders, appointed governors, employed managers and our cari makan administrators.
