What would the world be like without Jesus? Without Christianity, there would be no persecution of Christians. There would be no Vatican, No Pope, no Catholic Church. No Great Crusades. No one slaughtered in the name of Christ. For those who have been raised in the Christian Faith Bible Belt, many would have no hope. So, what would we be? There are many possible answers to that question. Some believe that Serapis, the oldest and longest lasting single god, who was actually a combination of the personalities of many gods would be our Christ, a name that was actually given to him, according to some scholars, by some people in the 300 years before Jesus. The Greeks get the credit of being the first society to envision the concept of one god. I think with or without Jesus, religion would have evolved into a Christian prototype. However, Jesus empowered the one god faith and our world of Christianity is stronger because of the path that has been taken. Whether a person follows a Christian path, or some other religion or no religion at all, the Jesus Culture is and has been one of, if not the most powerful influence in our world where religion seems inescapable. So, America could have been founded under God, by godly people anyway. Because of our creative evolving nature, Christ in some form would be with us. Even the Jews believe in him, they just think he has not arrived yet, and are still waiting. Just a silly conjuring by a goofy old man that I had this morning that I thought is worth pondering.
