When I contemplate consciousness after death, I always think about the 13.69999999 billion years that preceded my birth. I had no consciousness before that time neither will I have one after. I still think about it sometimes though, and it can be a little depressing. I just try to make the most out of this life I have right here right now. We live a life of uncertainty of life after death. That is why we must cherish the one nature allowed us to have.
