When I was first driving in Phuket my husband told me this very valuable lesson, Remember, you are not the only numpty on the road. I thought it was too funny then. After years of avoiding crazy tourists who thought they are immune to accidents just because they are on holiday; thai drivers who drive their cars like motorbikes; and motorbike drivers who confused reincarnation to having 9 lives, it is safe to say that numpties abound in Phuket. But the biggest numpties of them all are those who are arrogant to admit that they are one. Men who think that they know better than women or thai drivers but judging from the state of their vehicle have one too many dents. To that asshole that I met earlier, road karma is on your way.
