When detected early, ovarian cancer has a 90% cure rate. Unfortunately, many of the symptoms are common ailments, so a large number of cases aren’t diagnosed until there is only a 30% chance of survival. This screening utilizes a blood sample as well as a vaginal ultrasound in either one year or three month intervals, based on personal results. It has shown to have nearly eliminated false positives. Though the process is still in the early phases, it shows promise to be an effective tool in detecting cancer.
