When is fixing a wiper blade a task from hell?? When it is on a Series Landrover!! Mine has the early wheelboxes with round shafts, the only adapters available are the later ones for the squared shafts. First problem was getting the available adapters bored out to take the early round shafts - thanks to friends this was accomplished. Then I find that no matter how much I tightened the grub screw it would not grip the wheelbox shaft - the early adapters had pointed grub screws, the later ones have flat ones - I had to grind a flat on the wheelbox shaft. Then I find the grub screws are crap and rounding off so I had to cut a slot with a hacksaw and use a screwdriver. At last the wiper arm moved as it should so the MOT is booked for tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed.
