That oath binds them to the terms of the Constitution and subordinates their opinions to it. They cannot, under the terms of the oath, support treaties, legislation, orders, or any other official or unofficial action that contradicts the terms of the Constitution... doing so violates their oath and effectively vacates their office for official purposes. International Law does NOT trump the Constitution, nor can anyone sworn to support and defend the Constitution officially support ANY organization or group that seeks to overthrow or contravene it.
