When so many dogs need homes, sometimes its just a political or control game when you dont give someone their dog back. If someone else adopts this dog, thats another one euthanized that a family couldve adopted instead. Our world isnt perfect. I would never let my dog run free unless I was out with it, but Im not God and I dont get to govern every home to make it what I want. Dogs should be housed, fed and loved. Hopefully they can routinely go to a vet for wellness care. You think they wont get another dog? Why is no one helping the person here. You want to help dogs? Start with the people that own them. Perhaps going at it from a different angle could get his dog back ( yes, its his dog and the dog knows it) and help the owner keep it safer. Next someone will be scolded for giving up a dog that is part of the family because its not healthy for a dog to get passed around or ripped from their ppl. Thats what has happened in the dogs mind. Its been ripped from its pack. Im surely stirring things up because I now work in Wilmington, but I dont need to be politically correct or keep my opinions to myself. Ive been around enough to know that I have a valid and logical opinion.
