When the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program was announced in 2012, Arizona (AZ) denied DACA beneficiaries access to state identification cards and licenses. Soon after, immigrant activists filed a lawsuit, declaring that the policy was unconstitutional. Today, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down the policy. This victory is for the estimated 19,000 DACA beneficiaries in AZ and beyond!
