When the state finds itself at crossroads between politics and business almost always politics gets the priority, and rightly so because politics has a much larger mandate and responsibility. Business has to help the state to ease its governance and keep politics to the minimum. #Ubers laissez fair approach has put itself and its business ecosystem in to troubles. First, it blatantly violated RBIs two step authentication rule for payments in India. Secondly, it surprises me that such high-tech app did not even consider it worth putting an ICE feature that the Indian radio taxi provider #Meru offers. This certainly shows that Uber gives a damn to the social concerns where it operates. Ubers my way or highway approach has landed itself in trouble not only in India but also in US, Germany and elsewhere. It showcases the need for revolutionary technology and business models to be more responsible enough.
