When will this NATO summit madness stop? This morning I was walking Ruby to school, and as we were passing the stream in the village I noticed a periscope sticking up. Then this bloke climbed out of a submarine and asked if we were anywhere near Newport. I told him youve got the wrong town mate. Turned out theyd had the map upside down and were trying to get Barack Obama to the Primary School for his big important speech. Anyway, Barack climbed out and recognised me from last night. Thank God its you - weve got half an hour he said. Obviously with all the traffic there was no way they could get a car to him quick enough and his lookalike was using the helicopter. Luckily I had my bike with me and so I gave him a backie up as far as the M4 services by where I work. he still had the Co-op bag for life I lent him last night so he stuck that over his head so he wouldnt be recognised. It was hard work but we made it in about twenty minutes. Hes still desperate for me to go to this party in the castle - theyre having a magician and karaoke and its a free bar, but I had to tell him again Im busy that night.
