To address the issue, Chairman Keith Ellis is coordinating with the Newton County Sheriffs Office to have inmate crews clean up around recycling centers. Laurie Riley with Keep Newton Beautiful has an agreement with GA Probation Management that allows people on probation, who are eligible for Community Service work, to work on this project as well. The road clean up will be around the recycling centers and one mile in each direction.
