When you donate to MaximumFun.org, you choose a certain amount of money to pay per month. About 25% of that goes to MaxFun - it covers the payment processing costs, pays Lindsay, Theresa, Colin, Jennifer and me, pays for the thank-you gifts, the office and so forth. 75% of that goes directly to shows. The split is pretty simple. A quarter goes to your favorite show. Three quarters is split evenly among all the shows to which you listen. This donation money, which ranges from a few hundred dollars a month to a few thousand a month, is what keeps the shows running. This is particularly true of production-intensive shows, like Song Exploder or Bullseye or International Waters, which require a lot of money and time to maintain. As you plan your end-of-year giving, please remember the MaxFun shows you love and listen to for free every week, with little or no commercial BS.
