When you workout with weights, it is IMPERATIVE that your form and technique are solid and clean. Bad form whilst lifting heavy weights is a recipe for disaster and it is unlikely that youll be truly targeting the muscles you want to attack. Solution - downgrade your weight selection and focus on achieving textbook form. The movement should be controlled on both aspects of the movement; you should be able to lower the weight at the same rate as which you lift the weight, and vice versa. There is no shame in lowering your weight selection and this is something my PT clients regularly do, to ensure a) form and technique are solid and clean b) the correct muscles are effectively worked in the range that Im wanting them to work in and c) the right kinda burn is felt within the muscles! Be sensible......youll start to see results quicker and when you do climb up the weights, youll have the strength and control to remain true to form #gerrealresults
