Where it comes to fossil fuel, there are enough documented cases of greed, harassment, arrest, financial-ruin, and murder to be convinced that, the oil cartel/conglomerates would only have been super-trumped, by an inventor with something so simple that anyone could build it, who cares more about mankind, than getting rich, and who makes the knowledge so public so quickly they can’t stop it. Tesla and dark energy A different example is Tesla Motors. It has already built 1,500+ all-electric sports cars, the Tesla Roadster, that travels 200 to 250+ miles on a charge. Tesla, at the Jan. 15-23 2011 Detroit Auto Show, has shown a prototype of a family sedan that will go 300+ miles on a charge, the same distance as every gas-guzzler on the road today, and fully re-charge in 45 minutes (NOT 8 hours!). It’s enough to prove that we don’t need any more hybrids, but all the other car makers keep showing concepts of hybrids that don’t even come close to what Tesla Motors is accomplishing.
