Whew! Its been a crazy year and its about to get crazier, but unanswered questions have finally been resolved... I will be having brain surgery for my Chiari Malformation on October 28th in Hendersonville North Carolina. Long story short- my surgery in 2009 was a minimally invasive decompression where you dont have to open the dura of the brain. It works for some, but in my case it only worked a couple of years. My Chiari has worsened over time and all my symptoms are back, so we are getting it fixed before it gets out of control. The good news is that Ive been here before. Yes, this will be a more invasive procedure, but its basically just finishing what we already started. With alllll that being said, please keep me, my doctor, and family in your prayers as we gear up for this! I try so hard to stay strong all the time, but Im fighting a constant battle and everything has finally caught up to me. Im not afraid. I am actually feeling hopeful for the first time in a very long time. God has got me, and Im a rockstar. Thats all. Joshua 1:9
