Whey Protein is not only for building muscle but also aids in fat loss! It is optimal to use whey protein post workout as it spikes insulin, increasing nutrient uptake and blunting cortisol production. Be aware though, that you should stray away from, and only use it as a last resort for meal replacements and/or snacks. Since it does cause an insulin spike it can hinder body composition results if used at the wrong times. Solid animal protein is always a better choice for snacks and meals.
