Who in their right mind would fly in airspace where 3 large high altitude military jets were shot down in the last week. The missiles were high tech in the sense they locked on to the infrared signature of an airplane at 33,000 feet but were unable to distinguish military from civilian.......It was criminal for Malaysian Airlines to be over such hostile territory to make a buck....Im certain they knew the risk but thought the missiles were not effective at 33,000 ft.....I imagine if an airliner had flown over North Viet Nam in the 60s there would have been similar results.......I am not siding with the Russians by any means but Malaysian Airlines acted very irresponsibly to fly over an armed missile site in a combat zone with civilians souls on board.......I dont care if they have been flying that route safely 20 times a day without incident, its still wrong to subject civilian passengers to that danger!
