Who wants to know what is happening next Saturday? :0) 10.00: Opening address and ‘Reveille’ and the Cadets provide ‘guard of honour’ for the Spitfire 10.15 -12.00: A selection of music on the village green- ‘Spirit of the 40s’ Pete Jones plays and performs the music of the era. Heather Marie will perform live and Colin Bourdiec IS George Formby 12.00: Children’s evacuation and sing-a-long on the Green (If you have a young person you want to send off to the country, or would like to sing some old fashioned tunes - come along and join in!) 12.30 – 5.00: Music continues on the green from - Pete Jones, Heather Marie, George Formby and Piper Phillip Meadows 2.00: Fashion Show – Parish Hall (Got your gladrags on? Polished the buttons on your uniform? Anyone is welcome to join in, and there will be prizes for best Military, Civilian and Child entrant) 3.00: Dance Lessons with Pete Jones – Parish Hall. Whether you have dance tickets or not – come along and cut a rug – Pete will help you learn some simple 40s dance steps – and some social dances or ‘strolls’ – all for only £1! At a time TBC there will be an excellent ‘Show & Tell’ Military talk 5.00: Bugle call and close of the daytime events If you are lucky enough to have dance tickets we will see you in the Parish Hall from 7pm – if not, why not try one of the many local hostelries or eating places. 7.00-11.00: Swing Dance at the Parish Hall (SOLD OUT) Live music with Spirit of the 40s Pete Jones, and Heather Marie - with supper included. (Whilst this is our aim - all events are subject to chance, well, there is a war on!)
