Who will confront this monster in India? Oily-Moily, the Minister at the Centre instead has succumbed to corporate greed, pressures and has given the go-ahead for field trials for GMO crops. Obviously he and his party have benefited. If this is not stopped now, like Hungary has done, India will witness a tragedy of huge proportions. There are already many farmers who have committed suicide. It is believed the number of suicides exceed the number of Indian soldiers who died during warfares. No farmer in no state is exempt. Massive numbers have taken this extreme step in Maharashtra and in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and still are happening. Even the so-called developed state of Gujarat isnt spared. More than 800 farmers jumped to the other side during the last few years. Whoever comes to power come next month better take a note of this...
