Why is it that no one from Verizon can give me a straight answer?? Apparrently I have a balance with them from an address I lived at 6 years ago... but with an account that was opened last year in my former married name (which was my last name when I lived there). When I ask them if they are sure if its from 2013 they tell me its not in their records. But a creditor who just called told me its showing the account was opened in 2013 and a few months were paid and now its in collections. I absolutely did not open any accounts in 2013... & especially not in my former married name. Beyond frustrated at the lack of information being given to me! Can anyone help? Ive been told I have to file a police report for identity theft and I need to fill out a FTC Affidavit form.
