Why should the government be responsible for problems it has not caused? The rice farmers and rubber farmers and others have problems because they very foolishly persist in growing things no one wants. It is unjust to expect tax payers, fellow citizens, to buy their unwanted products at absurdly high prices. What they should be protesting are unjust laws that interfere in the free market to limit their choices. For example, the unjust law that prevents foreigners buying land. This harms farmers by artificially depressing the value of their land so that greedy Bangkok types can buy it up cheap - abuse perpetrated by the Thai government.
