Well the EC was about a free internal market, a quite revolutionary concept in the protectionist world of the time. Whilst the EU is about centralised ruling with countries ceding sovereignty to Brussels. In the EC, the free internal market made European countries compete with one another. And competition brings the best of everyone. But in the EU the European countries are supposed to co-ordinate between them. And European countries are historically quite bad at that. No wonder the EU is a failure. When will Europoliticians get down to their senses, dismantle the centralised EU-monster, and get back to the well proven success formula of a common European internal market with free movement of people, capital, products and services?
