It was started by us in 2005. We have live and worked in this part of Kutch for over 2 decades. I also worked in Eritrea as an Ecologist for 3 years with Seawater Farms Eritrea in Massawa. I also visited Arizona and Mexico for 2 months. The basic idea of starting the CEDO centre is to work for awareness in Wildlife and environment field, do native flora a a’forestation, promote the Conservation of birds and other wildlife by responsible bird-focused nature tourism. We earn our livelihood by bird-tourism, as I own and run a 8 room facility (home stay) for wildlife Conservation). To do our native tree plantation we have a 10,000 plants nursery of our own and 65000 liters capacity rainwater harvest storage underground tanks. Best way to reach the students is nature education camps. We organize 30 such one day nature camps which are sponsored camps. We do not charge money from teachers and students. The students are taken to sea coasts, mangroves, grasslands, freshwater wetlands and fossil sites of Kutch . We work on long term basis not just 1-2 camps and leaving the School. We got the safe drinking water machines installed in 38 under privileged schools.
